Fungal infection of the skin is called Dadru in Ayurveda. All the three dosha’s are responsible for this problem but Pitta and Kapha are more dominating. These infections generally affect the skin but there are certain types of fungal infections that affect the internal organs. Antibiotics, oral steroids, diabetes, obesity, weak immune system, pets and moist skin encourage fungal infections. Fungal skin infections can cause red, scaly, itchy rashes; ring worms and hair loss are some of the symptoms of this infectious disease.
